AILL aims to provide and inspire excellence in leadership in Africa that promotes self-worth and value naturally rooted in every human being.
Knowledge production, the core business of the Institute, with Africa as the focal geographical mandate, is an important aspect of human life. The Trust’s mission is achieved through dissemination of knowledge, information analysis of issues, and data processing.
AILL OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:
- To provide leadership training for the youth in Africa
- To compile information on African leaders (both pre-and post-colonial as well as during the colonial period)
- To increase knowledge and enhance understanding about African leaders and leadership
- To conduct interdisciplinary research on national, regional and continental affairs
- To develop leadership skills in politics, business and community management in the continent
- To train individuals and organizations in Africa on leadership strategies
- To train the trainers in Africa about the fundamentals and importance of leadership
- To foster strategies that promotes and fulfills the institute’s mission and vision
- To establish a journal entitled: Journal for African Leaders and Leadership to promote debate on leaders and leadership in Africa
- To open regional offices in Central Africa; Horn of Africa; Indian Ocean Islands; North Africa; Southern Africa; and West Africa
- To establish a Library
- To establish a Publishing Press.
